David Cameron calls for business support over Russia

‘British businesses should support economic sanctions against Russia despite “short-term pain” because only standing up to Vladimir Putin can return stability to Europe, David Cameron has said.

The Prime Minister said he knew companies in the UK were losing out from the sanctions placed on Russia but warned they could be extended for “many years” to come.

Mr Cameron said the Ukranian rebels’ use of “Russian rocket launchers” and “Russian tanks” proved Mr Putin’s involvement because those weapons cannot be bought on “eBay”. He also called Mr Putin’s actions “completely unacceptable”.’
