Nick Clegg to lose his seat at the next election, poll finds

‘Nick Clegg is on course to lose his seat at the next election, a new poll has found.

The Deputy Prime Minister is found to be trailing Labour by 10 points in his Sheffield Hallam constituency, according to a survey for the trade union Unite.

The poll published by The Mirror came after another snapshot found Danny Alexander, the Liberal Democrat Chief Secretary to the Treasury, will also lose his Inverness seat.

Together they raise the prospect of the two most important Lib Dem figures in the Coalition being dumped out of politics in a little over three months’ time.’
