Here we go… AGAIN

Earlier this week, Republican Senator Ed Buttrey formally introduced his own ObamaCare expansion bill (S.B. 405) in Montana.

That’s right – the legislature is considering shoving ObamaCare down your throat. . . AGAIN.

The “Montana Health and Economic Livelihood Partnership Act” will be heard in the Senate Public Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee on March 20.

It seems Senator Buttrey and other Republican legislators just can’t seem to take “NO” for an answer!

Your quick action a couple of weeks ago resulted in the demise of the governor’s expansion bill – it was killed shortly after we delivered your signed petitions against expansion.

But as I reported earlier this year, the threat is coming from both sides of the aisle, and I need you to take action again TODAY.

Please call the Senate Public Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee members at 406-444-7363 RIGHT AWAY, and tell them “NO means NO!” Demand they actively oppose and vote “NO” on S.B. 405.

Then, give the same message to your own State Senator as well.

ObamaCare expansion supporters keep trying to sell you a false bill of goods.

They claim that NOT expanding “leaves Montana money” on the table. They say Montana Medicaid dollars are being spent in other states.

But according to the Congressional Research Service, that’s a lie. They found:

“If a state doesn’t implement the ACA Medicaid expansion, the federal funds that would have been used for that state’s expansion are not being sent to another state.”

They’re also trying to fool you by calling this plan a “private option.”

They want you to believe they can add a rule or two to President Obama’s scheme and all of a sudden, ObamaCare is “free market.”

Their plan changes nothing.

Medicaid expansion by ANY name is still ObamaCare!

And State Representative Art Wittich says Senator Buttrey is “using Republican-sounding words, but when you look at the package, it’s centralized planning at its worst.”

Does Senator Buttrey think you’re too stupid to understand what he’s doing?

It’s critical you call the Senate Public Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee members at 406-444-7363 TODAY, and tell them “NO means NO!” Demand they actively oppose and vote “NO” on S.B. 405.

Then, give the same message to your own State Senator as well.

Expanding Medicaid entitlements is just plain wrong for Montana.

States that have opted to expand their Medicaid programs under ObamaCare are millions of dollars – and in some cases billions of dollars – over budget.

In fact, John Kasich’s ObamaCare expansion program in Ohio is a whopping 53% over budget this year, according to the Heritage Foundation.

And you won’t believe how he’s paying for it. . .

Reports are the Kasich Administration is taking funds from their pre-expansion program that covers the truly needy – such as elderly and disabled people – and using those funds for the optional expansion that covers ABLE-BODIED individuals!

That can’t be allowed to happen in Montana.

If Montana accepts this rotten scheme, state Medicaid obligations could double by the year 2018.

And Montana will be expected to spend millions of dollars for all of the new associated administrative costs from the moment the state expands the optional program.

And as if that’s not bad enough, the federal government will soon significantly reduce the reimbursement rate, leaving the state with the obligation to dole out an even greater portion of the tab.

Why would State Senator Ed Buttrey want to pile even more debt on top of the citizens of Montana by expanding an OPTIONAL piece of ObamaCare?

Is Senator Buttrey so determined to get all that “free” federal money he’s willing to completely ignore that expanding Medicaid will severely increase the costs paid by Montana taxpayers?

The truth is, even if Obama keeps his promise to pay for certain parts of the program for a year or two, YOU are still footing the bill.

Please call the Senate Public Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee members at 406-444-7363 RIGHT NOW, and tell them “NO means NO!” Demand they actively oppose and vote “NO” on S.B. 405.

This bill simply must be stopped.
