‘A prominent Conservative MP was questioned by police over claims he hid a stash of child pornography for a paedophile, the Sunday Express can today reveal.
Nothing came of the 1992 interview, and now the Met’s role in it is being probed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
The IPCC is looking at 14 incidents where officers are claimed to have covered up evidence of child abuse.
The MP’s alleged role in concealing the pornography was referred to in a letter between two notorious paedophiles when the future politician was still a young activist.’
