More Obama Lies About Torture and Osama bin Laden Killing

In addition to the Sy Hersh article documenting Obama’s lies about the Osama bin Laden killing, a new documentary on PBS’s “Frontline” says that Obama’s CIA mobilized to use the Hollywood movie, “Zero Dark Thirty,” to promote its lies. The movie, produced by Kathryn Bigelow, passes itself off as a definitive account of the Osama bin Laden killing. It portrays the Bush/Obama torture program as the key to finding the information that led to Osama bin Laden. As the Hersh account shows, this is a lie consciously cooked up by Obama to cover up the fact that bin Laden was being held in Pakistan with the help of the Saudis, and that a Pakistani ISI officer provided the information.

According to the “Frontline” documentary, the CIA gave the film-makers extraordinary access to classified materials and other assistance. A memo from the CIA media relations office is quoted in the “Frontline” piece advocating CIA assistance for the making of Zero Dark Thirty. The documentary also quotes Sen. Dianne Feinstein saying she walked out of “Zero Dark Thirty” “because it was so false.”
