Credit Market Warning

Long-awaited indicators warning of a breakdown in the credit markets are now finally emerging. Most assets the average investor watches — such as stocks — are really just a sideshow to the much greater size and economic impact of the bond markets. If those begin to fail, and we are beginning to see signs of worrisome trouble, the resulting damage may make the 2008 crisis look tame in comparison.
