It’s Turnaround Tuesday: Markets bounce back across Europe despite a SECOND day of chaos in China

‘European markets bounced back this morning after losing billions of pounds on a day of panic yesterday, sparked by spiralling losses in China.

Britain’s leading FTSE 100 index opened up 1.7 per cent, as investors in London appeared to shrug off further dramatic falls in Asia overnight.

It comes after China’s equivalent to the FTSE – known as the Shanghai composite – slumped a further 7.6 per cent today, despite already losing more than 8 per cent of its value on ‘Black Monday’ yesterday. Shares in Tokyo also fell 4.13 per cent.’
