‘Six alleged victims of Lord Janner have launched compensation claims against the peer – despite him still possibly facing a criminal trial, it was claimed last night.

Some of the middle-aged men also feature in the court case against the 87-year-old, in which he has been charged with sexually abusing nine boys – and he could now be sued for £2.5million.

It is believed the men first wanted to sue in April when Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders ruled that dementia sufferer Janner could not be charged because he was too ill.”
