Tories told to hide their conference passes in fear of backlash

The threat of protests against the current Tory government has led them to issue a warning to delegates not to be seen wearing their conference badges in Manchester as fear of  reprisals grows.

They have been told to stay within the ‘ring of steel’ that has been set up around the conference centre.
