David Cameron wants to ban the House of Lords from overturning legislation

David Cameron has appointed Tory grandee Lord Strathclyde to look into ways of curbing the House of Lord’s powers to block government legislation.

This comes after the House of Lords blocked the Tory governments plans to cut tax credits for poor working people.
