Music Legend Kris Kristofferson Misdiagnosed With Alzheimer’s, Goes Public With Lyme

‘For years Kris Kristofferson was told he was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and would simply have to get used to a failing memory that would only continue to get worse.
Kristofferson had been having trouble with his short-term memory for quite some time and even had problems recounting the past, losing his grasp on memories that even many of his fans could recall, having read biographies and watched documentaries about his life.
Even Kristofferson himself wondered how he was able to continue performing but somehow the songs remained in his mind. But at the age of 79, Kristofferson discovered that he was misdiagnosed and that it was neither Alzheimer’s nor dementia that was causing problems with his memory – it was Lyme disease.’
