Blast rocks US base in Afghanistan’s Bagram

‘An explosion at the largest US airbase in Afghanistan’s Bagram claimed by the Taliban has caused a number of casualties, officials say.
“We can confirm that there was an explosion at Bagram Airfield this morning just after 5:30 am (0100 GMT). There have been casualties. Our force protection and medical teams are responding to the situation,” a short military statement said on Saturday.
The governor of Bagram said at least three people were killed and 13 injured in the blast, which occurred near a dining facility.’
