UK Police May Get Potentially Fatal Taser Stun Guns Despite Public Discontent

‘The home secretary is expected to make her decision on the use of a new Taser permitting two shots instead of one in a few weeks, according to The Guardian newspaper.
“We are committed to giving the police the necessary tools to do their job — and Taser, a form of conductive energy device, provides officers with an important tactical option when facing potentially physically violent situations,” the Home Office said, as quoted by the newspaper.
The public, however, expressed some opposition to the use of the new Tasers, especially families who lost relatives because of the police’s use of this weapon.’
