BBC spent £34 Million of your cash laying off hundreds of workers – then re-hired them

‘The BBC have spent £34.3 million making hundreds of staff members redundant – before re-hiring them soon after.
The money-wasting fiasco has been condemned as a “lucrative revolving door” policy, involving 725 people over 15 years.
On average each staff member was handed a redundancy cheque of £47,000 – but many of them were subsequently re-hired.
Many were brought back as freelancers, according to the Daily Mail, but 286 returned on full-time staff contacts.’
