‘One survey found that one in three Scots is preparing to vote for Ruth Davidson’s resurgent Conservatives, which would see the party win 12 MPs and unseat a host of SNP big names.
The Panelbase survey for the Sunday Times showed the Nationalists down to a 44 per cent share of the vote, although that would still leave Nicola Sturgeon as the biggest party with 46 MPs.
In contrast, Labour would be wiped out north of the Border and any hopes of a Lib Dem revival would falter with only Alistair Carmichael retaining his berth in Orkney and Shetland.’
