President Kushner Had Trudeau Phone Trump To Stop Him From Tearing Up NAFTA

‘The Canadian government called White House adviser Jared Kushner in a panic last month asking for help avoiding a complete implosion of the North American Free Trade Agreement, according to a White House official.
Canadian media reported that Kushner called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to ask him to persuade President Donald Trump to abandon a full NAFTA withdrawal, but it now appears it was the other way around.
When reports leaked that Trump was set to scrap NAFTA entirely, Canadian officials ‘reached out to Jared,’ the official said.
Kushner told them it was a matter that could only be handled at the highest level, and then ‘called them to say the President was available to talk,’ the official added.’
