Tories pledge to hold inquiry into how a ‘God complex’ surgeon was free to prey on thousands of women
‘Jeremy Hunt has pledged to hold a major inquiry into the “profoundly shocking” malpractice by a “God complex” surgeon who butchered hundreds of women.
The Health Secretary said that if the Government is returned to power, it will open an investigation into the conduct of breast surgeon Ian Paterson, 59, who was allowed to operate for more that a decade after concerns were raised.

Paterson was last week convicted of 17 counts of wounding with intent and three counts of unlawful wounding involving 10 patients, and awaits sentencing.’
