This Week in Congress Tax Reform Update
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Representative Mark Walker (NC-06), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, are planning to introduce amendments to the tax bill replacing Obamacare’s individual mandate. The House is voting on the tax bill Wednesday and hopefully the Rules Committee will allow a vote.
Senator Paul’s amendment will likely be voted on after Thanksgiving.
The Senate Finance Committee is still marking up the tax bill. Campaign for Liberty is working to block any attempts to attach a “carried interest” tax to the bill.
Campaign for Liberty members who live in these Senators’ states should contact their Senators and tell them to oppose adding a carried interest tax to the tax reform bill:
