The British have repeatedly assassinated American Presidents, after first assassinating the father of our Constitutional system, Alexander Hamilton. But you would have to go all the way back to Abraham Lincoln, to find the sorts of repeated threats against a President, especially threats of murder, that are being made against President Trump right now as you read this—under British direction. A “comedian” is circulating a photograph of herself on the Internet, holding up a replica of the President’s severed head. At the same time, the protracted stabbing-murder of President Trump is being regularly performed before large audiences in New York’s Central Park, under the proud sponsorship, and with the repeated vigorous endorsement of the traitors at the British-loving New York Times—under the absurd guise of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar.” The “actor” allegedly portraying Julius Caesar in this bloody farce, is dressed and made-up to look exactly like President Trump—while his wife speaks with a Slavic accent and looks and dresses just like the President’s wife Melania. Obviously, no one believes the New York Times that this represents “freedom of speech.” It represents deliberate incitement to political murder, or even a license to kill—and that, even while an innocent U.S. Congressman, and another innocent man, are in critical condition in a Washington hospital, after being shot yesterday morning by a crazed mass-shooter looking for “Republicans” to kill.

Much more just like this could be adduced, as you all know.

The British Empire, whose bloodlust is behind all of this, just called yesterday for Trump’s impeachment, in their flagship Financial Times of London.

The reason for the parallel to the same murderous hysteria whipped up against Abraham Lincoln, is that the issues today are actually no less important now, than they were then. Then, it was the question of the survival of this Republic in the face of that same British Empire—a question which involved the future of the entire human species. Now, Lyndon LaRouche has made it clear that the victory of Jim Comey and Bob Mueller’s FBI in their attempted coup against President Trump, would plunge the world into a nuclear war which would destroy our civilization and perhaps our species.

On the other side, the continuation of the Constitutional institution of the Presidency under the legitimate President Donald Trump—and the prosecution and conviction of the foreign-sponsored traitors who would wreck it—moves the United States into the “New Paradigm” for which Lyndon and Helga LaRouche have fought for almost half a century, by way of President Trump’s open and sincere commitment to peace and partnership with Russia and China. We must restore Roosevelt’s Glass-Steagall Act as President Trump has promised, as part of Lyndon LaRouche’s “Four Laws” of June 2014, encompassing national banking, massive Federal credit issuance, fusion power development, and a full space program in an international cooperative effort.

The choice is now before this generation, before each of us, and before you personally.

Over the past weeks, a comedian/news commentator held up a picture of President Donald Trump’s bloody severed head; the “Shakespeare in the Park” Company’s production of Julius Caesar in New York’s Central Park portrayed Ceasar as Donald Trump, who was then subjected to an extended, brutal and bloody assassination scene; and yesterday, a 66 year-old man from Illinois opened fire on a Republican Party baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, after confirming they were Republicans, shooting four (including the third-ranking member of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives) before being killed by police. The shooter’s Facebook page included: “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Crazy act by a madman? Perhaps, but political assassinations are always portrayed as by “lone assassins,” and investigations are always carefully controlled to maintain such cover stories — the JFK assassination being only the most famous, and obvious, example. EIR, in 2008, published a pamphlet titled “Why the British Kill American Presidents,” reporting on the British role and motivation in the assassinations of Presidents Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy.

Recall that the current McCarthyite hysteria attempting to paint President Trump as a dupe or agent of the Russians, complicit in supposed subversion of American democracy, etc., was initiated by British MI6 agent Christopher Steele’s compilation of wild fabrications about Trump and the Russians. This “dodgy dossier” was then used by the now discredited former FBI chief, James Comey, in a self-described “J. Edgar Hoover moment,” showing Trump the Steele dossier and, apparently, implying it would be released if Trump would not back down from establishing friendly relations between the United States and Russia. He then almost certainly leaked the dossier, or arranged for it to be leaked, the following day.

The corrupt intelligence officials from the Obama Administration — James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey — even before being dismissed from office, had conducted a crusade to portray Russia (and China) as enemies of America; as military aggressors, and as a more serious threat to the Western World than ISIS. These lies served to provide cover for President Obama and his clone Hillary Clinton to take the world to the brink of thermonuclear war, assuring the bankrupt western financial oligarchs that the U.S. would never join with Russia and China in building the New Silk Road and a new global financial architecture. Such revolutionary steps would, to the horror of London and Wall Street, provide infrastructure and industry to the Third World, and even to the Western nations, rather than debt and austerity forced upon them by London and Wall Street speculators.

But the oligarchy did not foresee that the American people had had enough of permanent warfare, economic disintegration, the drug epidemic hitting virtually every family in the nation, and a mass media which lied consistently about nearly everything. The Trump election was the result.

Thus far, Trump has promised to do many of the things long proposed by Lyndon H. LaRouche, as presented in LaRouche’s Four Laws, but he has not taken the fundamental steps necessary to carry them through. He has pledged to rebuild the crumbling American infrastructure, but has not acted on his pledge to restore Glass- Steagall — the necessary first step to generate the credit needed to achieve his infrastructure and re-industrialization pledge. He has established cooperative relations with China, but has not fully joined the Belt and Road Initiative, to put U.S. industry back to work around the world building nations, including our own. He has called for restoring American leadership in space, and in scientific discovery, but, again, the funding for these projects demands that he immediately shut down the speculative bubble and restore Hamiltonian credit.

It is because President Trump is publicly committed to these things, and to ending the British imperial division of the world into “East vs. West,” that the guns are out to remove him from office — or, as implied by the shooting yesterday, to remove him from this Earth. He must move rapidly to get the recovery moving with public credit; to join the New Silk Road, and to fully cooperate with Russia and Putin in crushing the terrorist scourge. The more Americans who watch the series of four one-hour interviews with President Vladimir Putin by Oliver Stone, broadcast on Showtime every night at 9:00 EDT from Monday to Thursday this week, the faster the demonization of Putin will be laughed into the history books, joining the black history of J. Edgar Hoover’s “red scare” dirty tricks and assassinations.

On Monday, amidst all the chatter about infrastructure—and Russiagate hysteria—Lyndon LaRouche cut through it, to stress: Federal credit! Get the payments going. Speaking of the emergency situation in New York, he said, “There must be Federal government funding immediately to build new infrastructure in New York City. The Federal government must take over this crisis; it is the only source of an orderly form of credit for this problem… We have had enough talk without any specifics, without any real payment coming in. Put it on the table—both the funds, and the use of the funds—now.”

Outside of New York City—a major national crisis, on whose solution the economy depends—there are appeals coming out daily for intervention, because of decrepit conditions of transport, water, power, public health, and all other necessities. Yesterday, Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania) was on the Monongahela River (near Pittsburgh) to call on Congress and Pres. Trump to fund the rehabilitation of three aged locks before a terrible failure occurs. These structures date back to 1917, on a waterway which today, for example, still carries 6 million tons of coal a year to the U.S. Steel coke ovens in Clairton, for what’s left of the area’s steel industry. The locks rehab started 25 years ago, and remains unfinished to this day, after repeated stall-outs. However, Sen. Casey offers no overview plan for how to fund the needed upgrades.

There is no way that any of the oft-heard talking points—public-private partnerships (PPPs), local or state government funding, nor ‘free market’ wing-dings, will finance the restoration of the economy. The Wall Street demand for 10+% returns from fees, tolls, levies, tickets, etc. is completely impossible. “Get the facts in order” on this, as LaRouche again stressed yesterday.

We have to lift people up to the right approach. This begins with restoring Glass-Steagall to protect useful commercial banking, and ice out speculative finance; then establish a national credit institution, and extend Federal and private credit for large-scale priority projects and activities, and launch a science-driver for space and fusion power advancement.

In New York City, people ‘on the street’ are responding with great amazement and relief to the idea, ‘We can do this!’ In turn, the enemies of this approach stand out all the more starkly.

Yesterday in the Senate, Treasury Sec. Steven Mnuchin was a cornered rat on Glass-Steagall. At a hearing on the Federal budget, he responded to questioning by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by saying that there are three different “21st Century Glass- Steagall Acts,” and he opposes the Elizabeth Warren one to re-instate Glass-Steagall, and the Republican Party platform one, too. Mnuchin said, there should be no forced separation between commercial and investment banking: “We think that would hurt the economy, that would ruin the liquidity in the market.” In other words, Mnuchin is a killer. He is deliberately backing financial conditions leading to loss of life and loss of a future for the nation.

In direct opposition, we saw something of the “spirit of the Silk Road” in Iowa yesterday. At an Iowa-China symposium in Des Moines, a Memo of Understanding was signed between Chinese and American think tank representatives, to continue to exchange ideas for advancing their respective economies together. The Chinese Consul-General from Chicago reported on Chinese involvement in manufacturing, trade, and agriculture matters in the nine Midwestern states he relates to. The Trump Administration announced the completion of the China-US trade pact, under which U.S. beef exports can now start to China. Xinhua, CGTN, and other Chinese media ask, ‘Is Iowa-China the model for a new U.S.-China relationship?’

On June 21, Trump will speak in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a send-off rally for Terry Branstad, the former Governor of Iowa who is going to China to serve as the new U.S. Ambassador. Branstad is a long-time personal friend of Pres. Xi Jinping.

We call on people to rise above, and defeat, the Trumpgate/Russiagate operation and the evil, British empire crowd behind it. Come up to the plain of truth. What Vladimir Putin said about this, in the first installment of his interview with Oliver Stone last night, is: The anti-Russia hype in the U.S. is foolish. It may gain them some short-term advantage, but the problem with them is that they refuse to look 25, 50 years into the future, to see the consequences of their actions. We need cooperation.

For six months American voters have been waiting for President Donald Trump and the Democrats to take action: Get Federal credit flowing to renew the nation’s infrastructure at a higher level. There have been promises, but no credit, and no design of how it will be used.

Much of America’s early 20th-Century economic infrastructure is not just “crumbling” quietly; it is threatening lives. The most dangerous case is the transportation breakdown crisis hitting more than 20 million people in the New York Metropolitan Area. The “Summer of Hell” that has begun on New York’s transportation arteries actually threatens the entire U.S. economy.

EIR Founding Editor Lyndon LaRouche on June 12 called time on all the infrastructure “talk”: “There must be Federal government funding immediately to build new infrastructure in New York City,” LaRouche said. “The Federal government must take over this crisis; it is the only source of an orderly form of credit for this problem. This is a major national crisis, the U.S. economy depends on solving it. We have had enough talk without any specifics, without any real payment coming on.

“Put it on the table — both the funds, and the use of the funds — now.”

Meanwhile Democrats have consumed the government with “Russiagate,” the conspiracy to drive the President from office for wanting cooperative relations with Russia. Fired FBI man James Comey’s testimony has made very clear what this was: a staged intelligence agency attempt to entrap and depose the President; in the words of one political veteran, “a nothingburger” for a wildly distracted Congress.

Drop “Russia-gate.” White House and Congress must gear up to prevent the economy from collapsing and Americans from becoming further impoverished and dying. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act so banks will lend. Set up a national credit institution to build what must be built; whether a Hamiltonian national bank for infrastructure and manufacturing; a new Reconstruction Finance Corporation based on FDR’s; or a project grants agency with Federal funds. Invite cooperation from the champions of new infrastructure platforms, China’s “Belt and Road Initiative.”

Without these steps, LaRouche said, “All dreams of rebuilding the nation are dead.”

When FDR died before the end of the war, Lyndon LaRouche despaired that a great man had passed, and warned that a very little man was taking over.

Looking back on 1945 from today’s perspective, do Americans recognize that the United States won the war based on FDR’s defeat of the British bankers on Wall Street, by restoring the American System of credit for development, not for speculation, through the Glass-Steagall legislation? Do they recognize that the “arsenal of democracy” which defeated fascism was possible only because FDR had created the greatest infrastructure boom in all of history, in a few short years, giving the U.S. an overwhelming advantage in production and logistics? Do they recognize that Roosevelt’s collaboration with China and Russia (the U.S.S.R. at that time) was indispensable in saving the world from fascism? Or do they believe the myth that the war was won by Truman’s incineration of Japanese civilians, and that the Cold War was necessary to save the world from “Godless Communism”?

These questions are crucial for today. After 16 years of austerity, permanent colonial warfare (“regime change”), and cultural degeneration under Bush, Cheney and Obama, Americans were threatened with death by pessimism and despair, by economic decay, and the cultural degradation of their human dignity.

But the world has now changed. The New Silk Road, since being declared by Xi Jinping in 2013, in a few short years, just as FDR had done within the U.S., has set nearly the entire world on a course of vast infrastructure development, lifting the platform of human productivity worldwide, and demonstrating that poverty can indeed be eliminated, throughout the globe, as the Chinese have nearly done within their own nation. China and Russia are uniting the nations of Eurasia behind this great enterprise, and reaching out to all of Asia, Africa and the Americas to join in.

And now in the United States, a President has emerged who rejects the Imperial divide of the world, who rejects regime change, and who promotes friendship and collaboration with Russia and China, both to defeat terrorism, and to cooperate in the Belt and Road Initiative to meet the common aims of Mankind.

The Empire has responded with a vengeance. Using every resource at their disposal — war-mongering neocons from both the Republican and Democratic parties, the putrid whores of the mainstream media, and the British operatives in the Bush and Obama intelligence communities — an effort was made to demonize Putin, claim Russia stole the election, and that Trump was a tool of Moscow. Trump was to be destroyed at all costs — a “color revolution” against our own nation. Leading the effort were the well known liars and traitors who led Obama’s intelligence agencies: John Brennan, James Clapper and James Comey.

As the New York Post‘s Michael Goodwin pointed out Saturday: “J. Edgar Hoover kept his job because five Presidents were afraid to fire him. His insurance was the dirt he secretly collected on them. Comey is cut from the same cloth, but Trump wasn’t afraid to fire him.”

Now reality is setting in among the American people. Comey’s lies stand exposed. Trump refuses to back down to the war-mongers’ lies about Russia and/or China.

The question that remains: Will the American people revive the outlook of our Founding Fathers, of Franklin Roosevelt, of John F. Kennedy, by looking back at today from the future? Will New Yorkers adopt a vision of the city with high-speed rail connections in all directions, with maglev trains replacing the sweaty, noisy collapsing subway system? Will Americans dare to believe that the nation can be transformed in just a few short years, as FDR did, as the Chinese have done today?

Over the next few weeks, the Manhattan project will be sponsoring a series of events that provide the creative ammunition needed to answer that question in the affirmative. Upcoming is a June 29 Carnegie Hall event honoring Sylvia Olden Lee, which will be followed by a seminar on classical tuning and vocal placement. Further events with the Schiller Institute and our Chinese friends and others from around the world will follow shortly, continuing to provide direction to the revolutionary changes sweeping the nation and the world.

Lyndon LaRouche called upon the American people to shut down the coup underway against President Trump which was fed Thursday by the lying testimony of fired FBI Director James Comey before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. LaRouche said that the coup is an FBI-type operation attempting to destroy the United States, and if it is not stopped, the world will face general warfare.

On June 7, former Director of National Intelligence Clapper revealed the actual motivation for the coup against Trump in remarks in Australia. He said that Trump’s openness to peace with Russia—the platform upon which Trump was elected by the American people—was itself wholly against U.S. national security interests, in effect, equivalent to treason. It was already known in official Washington well before the election, that President Obama, in collusion with the British, candidate Clinton, DNI head Clapper, CIA head Brennan, and FBI head Comey, had steered the U.S. on a war course with Russia and China, which was meant to be fully activated with Clinton’s election. Trump was elected instead, triggering the coup which has followed. President Trump has kept his promise and established better relations with both Russia and China, who are seeking cooperation with the United States in developing the world based on great infrastructure projects. That is the only issue here. Comey backed that up Thursday in a long rant against Russia as a mortal enemy, in response to a question from Senator Joe Manchin.

Here’s how the actual conspiracy worked in general outline. According to Comey’s own words and their actual implication, on January 6th, FBI Director Comey is selected by Obama’s intelligence chiefs to do a “J. Edgar Hoover” on Trump, briefing him on salacious blackmail material fabricated by British intelligence and Clinton campaign operative Christopher Steele. It is a pure Hoover blackmail operation. Comey signals to Trump, “give up your fantasy about cooperation with Russia and we won’t release this.” Trump doesn’t budge. The very next day the whole Steele dossier is leaked all over the international news media, accusing the President-elect of perverse sexual acts with Russian hookers. Comey admitted as much in his testimony Thursday, saying he was aware that this briefing could be construed as a “J. Edgar Hoover moment,” in response to a question from Senator Susan Collins of Maine. During this meeting, Comey assured Trump that the President wasn’t under FBI investigation. Comey goes out and writes a classified memo about the briefing and the President’s responses. Was this memo shared with the British? Who else was it shared with?

Comey claims that he wrote this up because he thought the President would lie. This is hogwash. Comey had already been targeted to bring down the President, to entrap him, if Trump did not back down on seeking better relations with Russia and China. That James Comey set out to entrap the President, is the only logical conclusion which can be drawn from Comey’s testimony in response to questions by various Republican Senators.

First, Senator James Risch: I remember, you talked with us shortly after February 14th, when the New York Times wrote an article that suggested that the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians… that report by the New York Times was not true. Is that a fair statement?

Comey: In the main it was not true.

With respect to the alleged Michael Flynn conversation:

Risch: You quoted exactly what the President said, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”… He didn’t direct you to let it go?

Comey: Not in his words, no.

Risch: He didn’t order you to let it go?

Comey: Again, those words are not an order.

Risch: You don’t know of anyone being charged for hoping something?

Comey: I don’t as I sit here.

In any truthful scenario that should have ended the matter there.

Various Republican Senators asked Comey repeatedly, why, if the President had asked for his loyalty, had told him to drop the Flynn investigation (which was a false statements investigation that the President in all probability did not even know about), why did he not report it to the Attorney General? Alternatively, why did he not threaten to resign, as he had done previously in a confrontation with President George W. Bush? Why keep meeting with the President, telling the President he was not under investigation, while refusing to tell the public the same thing, and returning to strategize with FBI agents about what was said and the next steps. Comey admitted during his testimony that he did not do logical things, including telling the President to stop any improper conduct, because the FBI had decided that these conversations were of “investigative interest,” i.e, Comey, acting as an undercover informant, had not yet succeeded in completely setting up President Trump.

Comey includes Assistant FBI Director McCabe in the circle of people he was briefing on all of his interchanges with the President. Unfortunately for Comey and this entire “obstruction of justice” scenario, McCabe testified under oath to Congress following all of these events, that there had been no effort by Trump or anyone else to interfere with or obstruct the FBI investigation. In fact, Comey himself testified to the Senate Thursday that prior to his firing, there was no investigation of President Trump for either obstruction of justice or collusion with the Russians.

In a statement following Comey’s staged performance, President Trump’s lawyer Marc Kasowitz denied that the President ever asked Comey to let the Michael Flynn matter go, ever pressured Comey, or ever asked for Comey’s “loyalty.” Kasowitz appropriately emphasized these parts of Comey’s testimony:

  • The alleged Russian hacking did not change any votes.
  • The President told Comey that if any of his satellite associates did something wrong it would be good to find that out.
  • James Comey admitted that he leaked all of his memos about his conversations with President Trump to the New York Times, in order to provoke the appointment of a Special Prosecutor. At least one of these memos was classified.

This is not a battle which will go to court. Whether it continues or not is a question for the American people and their representatives. As LaRouche said, it is time for the people to speak and end this disruptive and highly dangerous attempted coup. It’s also time for the coup plotters to be investigated, including the treasonous news media.

SIGN OUR PETITION: Congress, Suck it up & Move On—It’s time to Rebuild the Country

Or text rebuild to (202)524-8709 to sign the petition.

Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Kazakhstani Pres. Nursultan Nazurbayev, in Astana, where in September, 2013, Xi had announced his proposed Silk Road Economic Belt initiative. In an article Xi wrote for his present visit, he said that the proposal has succeeded in going “from concept to action,” and that it now functions as a “global public good.”

In the United States today, the same implicit public-good principle was presented, as the concept of rebuilding the United States, in a presentation made by President Trump, speaking on the banks of the Ohio River in Cincinnati.

Trump called for upgrading U.S. infrastructure and creating jobs. One focus was on refurbishing the locks and dams on the Ohio system, and throughout the 12,000 miles of U.S. inland and intracoastal waterways. He recounted past U.S. infrastructure accomplishments, including building the Hoover Dam in five years, and the Golden Gate Bridge in four years. Look at the Erie Canal—which was a dream of New York Gov. DeWitt Clinton. Thomas Jefferson, Trump said, thought it couldn’t be done. But, ‘tell that to a New Yorker, and he will find a way to do it!’ Trump said, “We used to be a nation of builders…[but] we don’t do it anymore…Not even fix things…” This must change, he said.

Our challenge in the United States, is to succeed in bringing about the “action” part of “from concept to action.” We must force a U.S. breakout from the collapsing, monetarist mess of the Wall Street/City of London system, and create conditions for nation-serving banking, credit and advancement in productivity and science. We have two initiatives in that this week.

First, a new plan for the United States is being released by LaRouchePAC science team member Jason Ross, titled, “A Future Platform of U.S. Infrastructure—Case Study: New York.” (EIR, cover date June 9, 2017; and other postings). Ross has collaborated with Dr. Hal B.H. Cooper, a transportation engineer, and others, on specifics for New York City, which is an infrastructure disaster. Ross states in his introduction, “We begin by posing answers to overlooked questions about the role of infrastructure in the economy. Equipped with those concepts, we approach U.S. national infrastructure needs in light of international infrastructure developments in China. Finally, we return to New York City, situated in its national and international context, and discuss the necessary next stages of its infrastructure development, looking not ten or twenty years into the future, but several generations ahead.”

Secondly, there is action on the necessary pre-condition to make this economic lift-off happen—to restore the 1933 Glass Steagall Act, which worked for 66 years, to set apart and protect commercial banking from speculative finance, until it was wrongfully repealed in 1999. Two principal sponsors of the bill to restore Glass Steagall (H.R. 790, Return to Prudent Banking Act of 2017) in the House of Representatives — Marcy Kaptur (D) and Walter Jones (R) — briefed the House Rules Committee last evening, on the necessity of Glass Steagall, and the need to get a fair debate in the House on re-instating it. Kaptur’s 8-minute presentation is now circulating nationally on social media. (See it on LaRouchePAC.com, “Reinstate Glass-Steagall to Restore ‘Golden Age’ of American Growth.”) Kaptur is expected to speak up for it on the floor of the House in the June 8 debate on H.R. 10, the Financial CHOICE Act—a stupid bill to further unleash Wall Street.

There is no time to lose; the dangers are many. As far as domestic infrastructure, we have entered a “Minneapolis Bridge” phase of decrepitude, referring to the disaster 10 years ago (August 1, 2007), when a bridge over the Mississippi River suddenly collapsed during rush-hour, killing 13 and injuring 145 more in the crash. Not only in New York City, this can happen anywhere, anytime, cross country.

Internationally, the situation in Southwest Asia is chaotic, complicated, and dangerous. Today, terrorists struck at the Parliament of Iran, leaving 12 dead. As Russian President Putin reiterated, in sending condolences to the people of Iran, the attacks “once again corroborate the need to step up international cooperation in fighting terrorism.”

At this moment, the attention of every man and woman who grasps their own personal responsibility for the future of humanity—and first and foremost, the attention of Lyndon LaRouche—is focused on insuring the success of the upcoming May 14-15 Belt and Road Forum summit in Beijing, China.

At this Summit, a new and exciting reality representing the best aspirations of humankind is coming into being. The largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in human history is being built, bringing development to whole sections of the world, lifting millions out of poverty, providing productive jobs to millions. China has asked President Trump to join this great project and the United States should immediately do so. It could jump-start our economy to a modern manufacturing platform and modern infrastructure.

In his first telephone call with China’s President Xi Jinping today, the newly-elected President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, said that his country is most appreciative of the Belt and Road Initiative, and expects it to bring prosperity to the nations along its routes, including South Korea.

Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister and now the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French Senate, who was wisely chosen by President Macron to head the French delegation, has long been a supporter of the Belt and Road, and understands both its promise, and equally the danger to the world if it is allowed to fail. He told Chinese journalists on May 5 that he sees the New Silk Road as a global initiative for peace and cooperation. Against the background of a complicated and ever-changing world situation, China is bringing peace to the world with its plans and strategies which promote multilateralism and support the United Nations. Raffarin said he hopes that the Beijing Forum succeeds in bringing top politicians of other Western countries closer to the Belt and Road Initiative.

Russia’s Ambassador to Beijing said that “this cooperation may become the basis for forming a new international contour, namely the Eurasian all-encompassing partnership with participation of a wide range of countries which are members of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and in the future, the prospect of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).” He added that not only would President Putin participate, but also Prime Minister Medvedev—and with the two of them, enough Ministers of the Russian government to allow Russia to participate in every single conference panel at the level of government Minister.

As regards India, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that India will be represented at the Forum, but apparently the Indian government has not yet said who will go. Many Indians advocate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should go. One of them, former U.N. director Mukul Sanwal, asked yesterday in The Hindu, “Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprise everyone and participate in China’s ‘Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation’ which begins on May 14? That would be the kind of bold initiative he took in inviting leaders of our neighboring countries to his swearing-in in 2014, but with far greater significance.”

Likewise, it is critically important that President Trump, another leader famous for bold initiatives, “surprise everyone and participate.” There could be no greater assurance of world peace than the unexpected appearance of both Prime Minister Modi and President Trump in Beijing on May 14.

When he was appraised of many of these developments this morning, Lyndon LaRouche replied to the effect that, “Yes, but the new paradigm must work. It must not fail, or there is no future for mankind. There are many bad things out there. This must succeed. It must not be undermined.”

Donald Trump, in the past 48 hours, took initial steps towards throwing out the garbage in the intelligence community who have been part of the ongoing Color Revolution attempt against the U.S. government. Comey, together with former NSA chief Clapper, former CIA chief Brennan, and others, have openly participated in a coup attempt against President Trump, using wild lies and tactics last seen in the McCarthy era to terrorize the American population about the supposed danger of Russian aggression, and even Russian control over the U.S. government.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, following a highly productive meeting today with President Trump and Secretary Tillerson in the White House, usefully ridiculed this campaign. Responding to repeated questions from the whorish U.S. press to explain the fake news of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Lavrov responded: “I think this is even humiliating for American people, to hear that U.S. internal affairs are being governed by Russia. How can it be that such a great nation is thinking in this way?”

EIR published an extensive dossier on Feb. 27, 2017, titled: “Obama and Soros — Nazis in Ukraine 2014, U.S. in 2017?” (PDF) The dossier documented that the same people and institutions which ran the neo-nazi coup against Ukraine in 2014 were attempting to carry out a similar Color Revolution against Trump — and for exactly same reason. As Russian Deputy Ambassador to the UN Security Council Vladimir Safronkov said to British Ambassador Rycroft on April 13: “Your dream has slipped away, because we’re going to work with the United States. You’re afraid of this. You’re doing everything you can to sabotage this teamwork.” The Russians understand that the British Empire is pulling out all the stops, even risking a nuclear war, to prevent Trump from leading the U.S. into a partnership with America’s historic and natural friends in Russia and China. This friendship would mean the end of the British Empire once and for all, ending the division of East and West, and bringing into being a new paradigm based on development and the mutual interests of all nations.

This is, of course, the New Silk Road — the One Belt One Road Initiative launched by China’s Xi Jinping, which will hold its first international conference in Bejing this coming weekend, with representatives from over 100 countries and 28 heads of state, planing a productive future for mankind and an end to the perpetual warfare of the imperial era.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche, known as the “Silk Road Lady” in China, today reflected on the fact that, with Italian Prime Minister Gentiloni heading his nation’s delegation to the Belt and Road Forum, while former Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin will represent France, and most other nations in Europe sending significant delegations, the historical momentum in Europe has shifted to the bright future of the New Silk Road. Only Germany under Merkel seems to be stuck in the old paradigm, ranting about carbon rather than nation building. As yet, President Trump has not indicated whether he or any other U.S. delegation will attend, although China’s President and the Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. have renewed their invitation.

But Trump has unquestionably made the decision to reject the British gameplan, to dump the corrupt intelligence networks which have peddled the anti-Russia, pro-war propaganda on behalf of British intelligence, which has played the US as the “dumb giant” fighting its colonial wars, while preparing for nuclear war against China and Russia.

In Asia, the newly elected President Moon Jae-in was sworn in this morning, and immediately announced his commitment to restoring the “Sunshine Policy” toward North Korea, and to work with Trump toward a long-term solution on the Korean peninsula. Such a solution must be based on mutual development and assurances of sovereignty for the North in exchange for resolving the nuclear weapons issue. Pyongyang has repeatedly stated that if the threats to their nation were permanently ended, a solution could be found. There is now the potential that the divided Korean nation, working with Xi, Putin, and Trump, and possibly Japan’s Shinzo Abe (who is close to both Putin and Trump), can begin the peace and development process which could eventually lead to reunification.

It’s time for President Trump to have that hamburger with Kim Jong-un.

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke yesterday, not only for the people of Russia, but for all of Mankind, when he delivered remarks after a military parade in Moscow to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Victory in the 1941-45 Great Patriotic War, as World War II is known in Russia:

“That triumphant victory over that terrible totalitarian force will forever remain in the history of humankind as a supreme triumph of life and reason over death and barbarity,” Putin affirmed. He stated that the “monstrous tragedy” of tens of millions of deaths had occurred because of “the criminal ideology of racial superiority, and due to the lack of unity among the world’s leading nations.”

Applying those lessons to today, Putin called for all nations to meet “our responsibility to future generations” through international cooperation to bring about “stability and peace on the planet.”

That is, in fact, the overriding policy issue that will also be addressed at the International Forum on the Belt and Road Initiative, scheduled to get under way in Beijing just four days from today. The BRI summit is rapidly gathering steam and is sweeping up all of humanity in its mission:

  • France’s delegation will be headed by former Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, who praised the BRI as “a peaceful project for world development,” and said that “the Belt and Road Initiative is the framework of a new world.”

  • Peruvian business and political layers are demanding that President Kuczynski attend the summit, which they called the most important diplomatic event of the year, in order to proceed with the plan for a Peru-Brazil bi-oceanic rail corridor.

  • North Korea will be sending a high-level delegation to the BRI summit, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced yesterday.

  • And Chile’s ambassador to Beijing, Jorge Heine, recognized that “convening an important number of heads of State from many countries to examine what’s happening, beyond the specific projects of the Belt and Road, is of a much broader scope.”

What Ambassador Heine was describing, in his own words, is what Helga Zepp-LaRouche has referred to as “the New Silk Road becoming the World Land-Bridge”—precisely as specified in EIR’s 2015 Special Report on that subject. More than a set of infrastructure projects, what is underway is an entire global paradigm shift, which alone can save humanity.

The British Empire is trying to discredit the Belt and Road Initiative by calling it an alliance among dictators and autocrats, and with threatening predictions that the BRI will never come to fruition because it will only lead to conflicts and chaos among the nations involved. That is the exact divide-and- conquer nonsense, Mrs. Zepp-LaRouche recalled in a discussion with associates yesterday, that came out of the mouth of Sir Leon Brittan all the way back in 1996, who at the time was European Commissioner for Trade and for External Affairs, and was deployed to a major international New Silk Road conference in Beijing to try to counter Zepp-LaRouche’s presentation of the policy of the World-Land Bridge.

The problem is that most governments are amateurs—they don’t know what mankind is, Lyndon LaRouche emphasized yesterday. We must create a practice which develops the ability of the population to assimilate qualities of action which bring Mankind as a species up to the standard of society as a whole. Science, for example, is an instrument by which they may enter agreements to create a competent form of society. We are called upon to create such instruments of unified action that will solve the problems of mankind, LaRouche said; and that unity and power derives from the development of the mental powers of creation of the citizenry. That is the basis for acting in the future to save humanity today.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche yesterday stressed that only such an approach will work to defeat the organized divisiveness and pessimism of the British Empire. We must evoke in the population the higher principle of the self-development of the entire human species. Get Americans to think that way about the United States that they wish for their children and grand-children 50 years from now, and the United States could become beloved of all humanity once again.

Wise words for Victory Day—and for what must now follow.
