It is significant that Hillary Clinton, after a weekend spent mouthing absurd defenses of Barack Obama and Wall Street, lost a state primary March 9 in Michigan, in which polls had shown her 13-21% ahead just days earlier. She now faces more primaries in formerly-industrial Midwest states with large Democratic constituencies on March 16, and continuing to campaign as Obama apologist, as Wall Street insider, will get the same results. Her campaign should rightly be in panic.

Clearly a strong backlash against actions by Clinton and Obama took place among the Michigan voters over the last long weekend before the primary; and as major political media have immediately noted, the same thing may happen March 16 in Ohio, where Clinton is also given double-digit leads in the polls.

Clinton’s catastrophe was Obama.

Clinton’s linked herself to Obama in the final weekend’s debate, and in other campaign actions; and made the foolish public statement that Obama had taken more Wall Street money than any candidate in history (quite true), and then had pushed through the Dodd-Frank Act. Clinton claimed this meant Wall Street’s money did not corrupt! Voters showed they recognized the opposite: She was tying herself to the despised Obama and to Wall Street at the same time.

Then, Obama’s primary-eve stunt for Clinton — holding a major White House event to promote the “success” of the Dodd-Frank Act — put the nail in her coffin. The winner was not the surprised Sanders; it was the anti-Obama, anti-Wall Street backlash in Democratic constituencies.

Democratic officials in Congress and elsewhere know very well that the Party is split down the middle nationally, between Wall Street money and public outrage at Wall Street. The split is, essentially, between the Dodd-Frank Act and a restored Glass-Steagall Act, which will start the shutdown of Wall Street.

In meetings March 1-3, a large number of Democratic Congress Members and their staffs told EIR they were acutely aware of this “Dodd-Frank vs. Glass-Steagall” split, and that it was also in the center of the Presidential primary campaign.

But thinking citizens, considering the future of their nation and of mankind, cannot limit themselves to being part of a “backlash.” In the decades since America last had a mission and an optimistic purpose — above all in the space program, from JFK — millions of voters have been dumbed down to such “backlash” existence.

We have to mobilize to force through that alternative, and to force Obama — the “Nobel Prize killer” and the killer of America’s space program — out of office. Much more than Hillary Clinton’s failing campaign is at stake.

The third installment of the Leibniz discussion will be LIVE at 5pm eastern on Wednesday March 16, 2016 — live YouTube viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion. The session will cover Leibniz’s work on setting up societies for the improvement of science and economy, with a focus on his specific scientific discovery of vis viva as a measure of the power of motion to accomplish work, and the birth of the science of dynamics. To prepare for that, please watch this video, “Leibniz’s Dynamics and Vis Viva: An Introduction.” The specific papers of Leibniz that will be quoted include:

• “Critical Thoughts on the General Part of the Principles of Descartes”, excerpts here.

• “Discourse on Metaphysics”, XIX–XXII.

• “Specimen Dynamicum”, excerpts here.

• And here is a short paper I wrote deriving the conservation of momentum from Leibniz’s vis viva and relativity of motion.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told the national Party Congress today that notable progress had been made since the Belt and Road Initiative had been initiated in 2014.

“Today over 70 nations have expressed interest in the Belt and Road, and over 30 countries have agreed to build it” he said. “And the first Silk Road Fund projects have been launched.” He then pointed to the various rail corridor projects that have been initiated: China-Mongolia-Russia, the Pakistan corridor, a Budapest-Belgrade high-speed railroad, Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail, and the rail links to Laos and to Thailand.

He also said that Industrial Capacity Cooperation agreements had been signed by 20 countries.

“The Belt and Road was a project launched by China, but the opportunities belong to the world,” Wang said. “This project echoes the general trend of Asian and European countries for cooperation and development. It shows that China is transitioning rapidly from a mere participant in the international system to a provider of public goods. In building the Belt and Road we follow the principle of wide consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefit. It is an open initiative, not a Monroe Doctrine or some expansionism. What the Belt and Road Initiative unfolds in the eyes of the world will be a new historical painting of shared development and prosperity on the entire Eurasian continent.”

On February 26, Brazil’s ruling PT party approved a “National Emergency Plan” (NEP) that urges President Dilma Rousseff to clip the wings of the usurious financial sector operating in Brazil and sharply reduce domestic interest rates; use the country’s sizable, $371 billion in foreign reserves to establish a National Development and Employment Fund for infrastructure development; and work closely with the BRICS New Development Bank and Chinese banks to achieve these goals.

The plan is reported to have been personally drafted by PT president Rui Falcao, and has the full backing of former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who was arrested and hauled in for questioning by police for three hours in relation to the corruption scandal sweeping the country, on March 4, exactly one week after the NEP was released. The emergence of the NEP reflects the fact that there are significant forces in Brazil that are not prepared to roll over and play dead before the ongoing British Empire drive to topple the Rousseff government, as part of their global operations to destroy the BRICS option.

The 22 point NEP reads in part:

“1. A large reduction in the prime rate, as a fundamental element to reduce the Nation’s nominal deficit, and increase public investment… [and] promote the resumption of economic growth.

“2. Use of part of the international reserves for a National Development and Employment Fund, for infrastructure, health, housing, energy renewal and urban transportation projects…

“20. Establishment of funds for investment in special projects, backstopped by credits obtained from the BRICS New Development Bank, multilateral financial institutions, and Chinese banks.”

In a March 3 article written from Sao Paulo, where he has been deployed to oversee the British Empire plot to overthrow the Rousseff government, {Telegraph} columnist and MI6 hitman Ambrose Evans-Pritchard went ballistic against the NEP proposal:

“Demanding a sharp cut in interest rates [is] a move that would effectively strip the central bank of its independence… [The NEP] means a statefinanced industrial policy, a blitz of investment in infrastructure, health and housing, as well as job programs and a rise in salaries. The thrust of the policy implies a partial retreat into autarky.” After reporting that “investors” are “horrified” at the proposal, Evans-Pritchard elaborated: “`If the PT taps the reserves, they risk setting off a run on the currency. This is very dangerous,’ said one economist, dismissing the scheme as complete madness.”

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a press conference on the sidelines of the National People’s Congress in Beijing, said that China is “trying to play a bigger role in existing international order and system,” but that it will never seek hegemony “China will never become another America. China has no intention to supersede or lead others,” reported Xinhua.

He specifically warned that the United States is interfering in the South China Sea in a dangerous and provocative way.

“Freedom of navigation does not imply doing whatever you want….Thanks to joint efforts made by China and other countries in the region, the South China Sea remains among the world’s safest and freest sail lanes. Any attempts to disturb the South China Sea and destabilize Asia would not be allowed by China and most other countries in the region,” he said. He warned the US against “muddying the waters” that could “plunge Asia into chaos,” adding that “Philippines stubbornness on the South China Sea dispute is the result of behind the scene instigation, political maneuvering.”

He reported that China has offered to set up two hotlines to deal with maritime emergencies and joint rescues.

Wang also stated that Beijing will not be an onlooker in the Middle East, but will play a more active role without interfering in internal affairs of nations in the region. He emphasized China’s “mature and stable” ties with Russia.

Speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the National People’s Congress, Xu Shaoshi, the chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), said that the idea of industrial capacity cooperation would be a “springboard” for the Belt and Road Initiative, involving 65 countries.

“The Belt and Road Initiative is very important,” Xu said, in reply to a reporter’s question. “It involves both bilateral and multilateral agreements. The planning and designing of the initiative was issued last year, and different localities have since issued their own programs. It involves 65 countries, most of whom are in the process of industrialization and urbanization, and therefore the Belt and Road appeals to their interests. In addition, thirty countries have signed a memorandum on co-building the Belt and Road,” Xu said.

“We are working on different corridors and these are now being contracted and the projects are moving forward quickly.” Most advanced, he noted, was the corridor going through Kazakhstan with $13 billion of investment, but also the Pakistan corridor which will be the subject of a $30 billion investment.

Xu said, “We will further improve our cooperation with a number of countries in capacity sharing. We will export our manufacturing of equipment, for instance, in railway production. It will be an import springboard for these countries in their collaboration with the Belt and Road. We have such agreements in our cooperation in building the railroad through Laos and Thailand, a railroad to Moscow, the inter-hemispheric railroad with Peru and the Western expressway in the United States.” Further, “It also characterizes our agreement to build the nuclear power plant[s] in Great Britain and in Pakistan. The overseas investment is promoting our export of equipment, which is up 37%. In 2016 we will be working further with these countries which have already a certain momentum with us, and we will give out specifics on these. And production capacity cooperation will become more prominent and receive more financial support.”

In a March 2 press conference in La Paz, Bolivia’s Minister to the Presidency, Juan Ramon Quintana, warned of a destabilization campaign against President Evo Morales whose aim is to sabotage his government’s alliance with BRICS members China and Russia.

Quintana noted that the Feb. 21 referendum in which Morales was defeated in his bid to run for reelection in 2019, was followed by an attempt to implicate the President in an alleged influence peddling scandal clearly an intelligence operation involving a former lover and the Chinese engineering firm CAMC. Behind this, Quintana charged, is an effort to “weaken the economic integration that Bolivia has achieved with China through projects in the areas of hydrocarbons, physical infrastructure and technological development, among others,” www.laprensa.com reported. “There is a geopolitical and strategic interest aimed at reducing the intensity of Bolivia’s relationship with China and Russia, and the projects we are developing to create a strong state in the country.”

Exemplary of the alliances of which Quintana spoke was the agreement signed March 6 in La Paz between Energy Minister Luis Alberto Sanchez and Sergey Kiriyenko, director general of Russia’s atomic energy agency Rosatom to jointly build a state-of-the-art Nuclear Technology Research and Development Center over the next four years, El Deber reported March 6. Present at the signing, President Morales underscored Bolivia’s right to develop nuclear technology, and said that the new center will be the largest and most modern such center in South America.

“Now we are able to deliver major cooperative projects, in this case with Russia as well as with China, and Europe sometimes. How nice that some partners come here with investment and cooperation not just aggression and provocation,” Morales said, according to Channel News Asia. Kirenyenko reported that Argentina could also play a role in the development of the new center, given its expertise in the nuclear field, and said that part of his delegation would be traveling to Buenos Aires from La Paz to meet with relevant nuclear officials there.

In his article in the March 7 Telegraph, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, the avowed British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) stringer for British intelligence notorious for his role in orchestrating the slander operation against President Bill Clinton, proclaimed today that, in his view, the destabilization of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has entered a final phase, and its aim is to break up the BRICS alliance as a whole.

Under the headline “Downfall of Brazil’s Lula Marks End of BRICS Fantasy,” Evans-Pritchard manically trumpets that “Brazil is the first of the BRICS quintet to break down on so many fronts at once, but Russia and South Africa are both in deep crisis, and China is running through $100 bn. of foreign reserves a month. Only India has the wind in its sails. The BRICS concept has become meaningless.” With last Friday’s grandstand arrest of President Rousseff’s close ally, former President Lula da Silva, Evans-Pritchard pontificated, “the drive to impeach Mrs. Rousseff suddenly looks unstoppable.” He adds that the “markets” are hoping that current Vice President Michel Temer will take over, “grasping the nettles of austerity and reform at the head of a pro-market government.”

Notably, Evans-Pritchard has been deployed personally into Sao Paulo, from where he has been writing prolifically since the beginning of March. In a March 3 Telegraph column, he insisted that Brazil “is heading straight into the arms of the International Monetary Fund. The sooner this grim reality is recognized by the country’s leaders, the safer it will be for the world.”

Simultaneously, the British Crown has activated Marina Silva in the drive to bring down the Rousseff government. Silva is a wholly owned “green” asset of the British royal family, who in 2008 received from Royal Consort Prince Philip himself, founder of the murderous World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the `Duke of Edinburgh Conservation Award’ for her environmental achievements. Silva came in third in the first round of the 2014 presidential elections, but she only became a presidential candidate after her running mate (she was a vice presidential candidate), Eduardo Campos, died in a suspicious plane crash three months before the election.

In remarks reported by Folha de Sao Paulo March 6, Silva not only backed the arrest of Lula da Silva, but demanded that Rousseff and her Vice President be removed from office, not simply by impeachment but by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), as this, she said, would overturn the results of the October 2014 election won by Rousseff, thus “correcting an involuntary mistake” by the Brazilian people, and leading to new presidential elections.

The reality of the present collapse of the Trans-Atlantic system, is a deadly situation—from the physical economic breakdown, to the financial blow-out chaos, to the war danger, and to the terrorizing effect of the rotten U.S. election line-up and process. Most dangerous of all, is the cover-up or denial that there are solutions. What is required in these irrational circumstances, is a rational response. There are solutions. Just such a rational response is underway in the international drive by the leaders of Russia and China, for collaboration in space, science, economic development in Eurasia and worldwide, and peace. It was stated last week at national meetings in Beijing, that space exploration will now be an integral part of China’s economic innovation program. In the United States, LaRouchePAC’s Kesha Rogers is leading the drive to restore this same outlook, originally a hallmark of the American System, and embodied in NASA.

Lyndon LaRouche today put the question of leadership into immediate historical perspective, referring to Nancy Reagan’s death Sunday. He said that, if you take the period from Ronald Reagan’s election to the Presidency in 1980, through to Nancy’s death, this is a sign that, “an era of a certain kind has just ended.” Reagan embodied a standard of quality of leadership. He was a very able person. LaRouche spoke of his tie to him, and now, to the memory of his wife.

In the new era now underway, the crisis is not only the lack of quality of leadership, but the widespread hostility to such a quality. People in the Trans-Atlantic are becoming more and more insane. Nevertheless, if we intervene, with rationality, to provide the leadership, we can come to the rescue and succeed.

The enemy deployment is intense, in moves against the BRICS, and in the war push. None other than British crown functionary Ambrose Evans Pritchard is on the scene in Sao Paulo, issuing forth with a March 7 article that the “BRICS fantasy” is now over, and “the BRICS concept has become meaningless…” He asserts that, “Brazil is the first of the BRICS quintet to break down on so many fronts at once,” and that South Africa, Russia and China are all beset with problems. He charges that only India still has “wind in its sails,”—which in fact, refers to Anglo-American dirty tricks to try to make India, the ‘last BRIC standing.’

On the related, crazed militarization front, the largest-ever military exercises–termed Key Resolve–are now underway between the U.S. and South Korea. Involving 17,000 American forces and 300,000 South Korean personnel, the drills will last eight weeks. This comes at a time of acute tension with North Korea, given the cumulative impact of years of geopolitics.

LaRouche, speaking on the weekly LaRouchePAC TV Policy Committee program today admonished, “It’s the end of the old system. It needs replaced. It can be done.” It’s dangerous. Don’t lose your nerve.

Lyndon LaRouche and the Policy Committee in discussion Monday, March 7, 2016.

During more than seven years of the British Monarchy’s cipher Barack Obama, the number of deaths in war zones around the globe, has grown by practically unheard of rates, according to a study by the Israeli publication Mida, basing itself on data assembled by the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Sweden. The findings are reported in the March 3 Arutz Sheva: Israel National News.

The results are recorded as battle-related deaths, as well as associated civilian deaths by bombardment or crossfire. According to the findings, during the Bush Presidency, worldwide, from 2001 through 2008, there were 159,121 deaths recorded as direct results of war. However, from 2008 just through 2014, the total number of war deaths that were inflicted under Obama, rose to 286,204, a little shy of doubling. When the 75,000 killed in 2015 just in Syria alone are counted, the total rises to 361,2014, more than two and one quarter times greater under Obama than Bush.

If Bush were a genocidalist, which he assuredly is, Obama is much worse. In the “Middle East” alone, Obama’s penchant for killing stands out.

Under Bush, the number of war-related deaths in the region totaled 28,724; under Obama, through 2015, the number of war-related deaths rose to 243,000, an 8.5-fold increase.

This is a tiny sampling: it does not record those who died in trying to flee these wars, as their boats capsized in the Mediterranean Sea, or those hundreds of millions whose lives were and are so destroyed by the consequence of the underlying policies that leads Obama to war, that these citizens live or die in utter destitution.

Obama is not only a mass killer abroad, as shown here; people of the United States are being killed by him, and were by Bush. Even recent scholarly studies have shown this.

And George H.W. Bush wanted, in 1986, to kill Lyndon LaRouche — he nearly succeeded — because of LaRouche’s introduction of a unique potential collaboration of the United States and Russia to end Mutually Assured Destruction. All three Presidents are “different flavors of the same poison,” LaRouche said today.
