by Rachel Brinkley

Rachel Brinkley, a member of the LaRouchePAC National Policy Committee, led the fight to shut down Wall St. and implement Glass-Steagall during her 2010 Congressional campaign in Boston, MA, successfully exposing the fraud known as Barney Frank. Frank recently emerged from his cave, not surprisingly, as a spokesperson for Hillary Clinton’s Wall St. agenda.

The current financial system is in the end stages of a total blowout and in need of urgent action. Near the end of the 1960s, economist Lyndon LaRouche forecast a breakdown of the Bretton Woods financial system. He was vindicated on August 15th, 1971, when Nixon took the dollar off the fixed-exchange rate system, floating the dollar and bringing in the post Bretton-Woods era of financial frenzy. LaRouche was right then, and today, 45 years later, that speculative era has reached its end with disastrous results. However, a new system has already been created, also based on the work of Lyndon and Helga LaRouche over 45 years, for a new global economic architecture.

The bankruptcy of the current system is indicated by the recent report by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) referenced elsewhere in this edition of The Hamiltonian, on the systemic threat posed by derivatives clearing houses. In any number of weak points in the overly-indebted system, such as Deutsche Bank, the Italian banking system, or energy derivatives, there could be a reverse-leverage collapse. The toolbox of financial instruments used to keep the system going since the last collapse has also run out. Quantitative easing has failed, and the real production of the trans-Atlantic system has come to a halt. The “helicopter money” proposed by Citigroup’s chief economist Willem Buiter is completely insane.

China, however, has taken up the question of solutions to address the illegitimacy of the current system. Helga Zepp-LaRouche participated at the Think-20 forum in Beijing prior to the upcoming G-20 summit, and she addressed the need for that organization to revise the axioms of current policies to address the fundamental crises facing civilization today.

This was also emphasized by other Chinese representatives. “The world economy is faced with great risks accumulating,” said Professor Cai Fang, the Vice President of the China Academy of Social Sciences. “We have to be more capable in dealing with volatility. The effect of contraction in the economy has become great.”

In her speech, Helga Zepp-LaRouche called for extending the New Silk Road to become a World Silk Road, as “a concrete offer to overcome underdevelopment,” and to create a pathway for 100 years of development, centered on win-win collaboration instead of geopolitical conflict. She emphasized the need for “achieving qualitative breakthroughs in the understanding of qualitatively new physical principles of our universe,” through space development and nuclear fusion research, to drive economic progress and inspire the creativity of our youth.

Moving piles of worthless debt around will do no good. A global Glass-Steagall, as Helga LaRouche called for, has to be implemented immediately. Symbolic measures will not work. Hillary Clinton has rejected Glass-Steagall and shown herself to be on the wrong side of any policy regarding the financial breakdown.

Lyndon LaRouche himself has emphasized the essential orientation of an economic reorganization around the principles of Manhattan-based Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton. Without such a basis, LaRouche noted, “you’re going to fail because you haven’t got a weapon which is effective enough to do the job you want to do.”

Lyndon and Helga LaRouche have been right for 45 years, and are ready to play an active role in pulling our nation and the world into a new paradigm. Our nation needs a policy committee, centered in Manhattan, of citizens, activists and elected leaders who will devote themselves to bringing to fruition the needed elements of the solution: Glass-Steagall, the dissolution of the bankrupt system of Wall St., and a new era of economic and scientific collaboration, instead of war, with the United States joining the New Global Silk Road.

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils;
The motions of his spirit are dull as night
And his affections dark as Erebus:
Let no such man be trusted. Mark the music.
– Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice, Act V, Scene 1

Seven decades ago, the British Intelligence and U.S. State Department organization known as the Congress for Cultural Freedom launched a campaign of cultural war on the nations of the trans-Atlantic. Their focus was France, Germany, and the United States, with particular emphasis on breaking the cultural optimism of German Classical culture, i.e., the tradition of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, from the post-war culture of the United States..

It was the leading conductor of his day, the very soul of the German classical tradition and who personally opposed the Nazi takeover of Germany, Wilhelm Furtwängler, who was the main recipient of their opprobrium, especially with the blatant popularization of equating the term “Classical” with that of “Nazi.” This was also expressed by their virtual-reality term “the authoritarian personality,” and the alternative, the CCF claimed, could be produced through the so-called cultural freedom of expression.

Suddenly, and for the first time, jazz musicians found themselves traveling on behalf of the State Department to promote America’s “cultural freedom of expression” — though they themselves were prohibited in their own country from sleeping in the same hotels or eating in the same restaurants with their Washington, D.C. State Department sponsors. American abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock’s entire career, and the careers of scores of other artists were literally made by the CCF.

Combined with Princeton Radio Research Project’s 1950s-60s AM “Top 40” radio project, otherwise known as the war on American ear-drums, the attack on German Classical culture and the promotion of so-called modern culture by the CCF’s decades-long bombardment led to several successive generations of an unrelenting ugliness in the museums, concert halls and the parks of our nation.

The purpose of all of this was to produce what we clearly see in the 2016 Presidential elections: ugly candidates with ugly ideas set to even uglier music.

The Power of Song

Lyndon LaRouche often refers to the higher political principle of the placement of the voice, i.e. the statement of an urgent and great idea, properly vocalized and written, and beautifully composed and designed to increase the capacity of people, as Percy Shelley put it, “to receive profound and impassioned conceptions representing man and nature.” This principle is today absent from political discourse, and must be introduced by a new movement of artists and leaders, and it is that new movement which LaRouche defines as the New Presidency.

During the weekend of September 11, 2016, the fifteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, where 3,000 Americans were killed by Saudi-backed terrorists in New York’s World Trade Center Towers, four performances of the Mozart Requiem will be performed as a living memorial to those 3,000 Americans and others murdered in that still-unresolved crime.

John Sigerson, who is the musical director of the Schiller Institute and the conductor of the upcoming performances, recently participated at a four-day discussion and workshop process in nearby upstate New York as part of the institute’s campaign to revive the Verdi tuning of C = 256.

This is the verified scientific tuning where the placement of the voice is most natural to the mind of the artist and the audience alike. As part of the Schiller Institute’s international campaign there is now an entire facility in the New York area which has re-tuned all of its pianos to accommodate this needed resurrection of bel canto voice placement and vocal training.

Mr. Sigerson, along with the founder of the Schiller Institute New York City Community Chorus, Diane Sare, together are now preparing for this extraordinary set of performances over the weekend of September 11, 2016, and something new has spontaneously begun to occur. The discussion process around Mozart’s Requiem has prompted, increasingly, what seems to be an involuntary comparison to the present electoral and national predicament. It would be nearly impossible for this comparison not to occur.

But why is the presentation of Mozart’s Requiem essential at this point to solve the American political crisis?

The horror and ugliness of the Presidential Administrations of the past fifteen years demands a requiem, not for the dead—and not for the living dead—but for the condition which perpetuates that feeling of desperation now epidemic in every part of our nation. A New Presidency begins with a properly placed intoning of Mozart’s Requiem as a key to help unlock the doorway to a new future for all mankind, already offered, but still unseen and unacknowledged in this country.

Through the work of Lyndon and Helga LaRouche, and the efforts of the leadership of Russia, China, and the nations allied with them, there is now possible a new world based on the scientific optimism of the unlimited potential of the human mind. The LaRouchePAC Manhattan Project, and the choral process that it expresses, is building the new human assembly by which that future, and the New Presidency, can be brought into being through the “sweet power of song.”

At the United Nations General Assembly in September of 2015, the year of 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN and the defeat of fascism after World War II, Vladimir Putin proposed that the nations of the world come together to create a coalition against terrorism:

“On the basis of international law, we must join efforts to address the problems that all of us are facing and create a genuinely broad international coalition against terrorism.

“Similar to the anti-Hitler coalition, it could unite a broad range of forces that are resolutely resisting those who, just like the Nazis, sow evil and hatred of humankind. And, naturally, the Muslim countries are to play a key role in the coalition, even more so because the Islamic State does not only pose a direct threat to them, but also desecrates one of the greatest world religions by its bloody crimes.”

A week after Putin’s offer was met with silence, Ankara was rocked by suicide bomb blasts that ripped through a peace rally, killing 103 people; weeks later, 224 people were killed when Metrojet Flight 9268 was downed, with mostly Russians on board returning from vacations in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. And then there were Brussels, Paris, Orlando and Nice, not to mention the daily horror show in population centers throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The political “leadership” and mainstream media of the trans-Atlantic community have told us that this is now the “new normal.”

Normalizing terrorism as an accepted phenomenon of life is a form of insanity. Anyone serious about shaping the new presidency and its security policy will reject this form of insanity, and embrace President Vladimir Putin’s offer of collaboration to form an international coalition against terrorism. Furthermore, they will use the combined release of the 28 Pages of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 and the Chilcot Report on the UK’s role in the Iraq War as only the first step in exposing the forces of the British Empire who use terrorism for geopolitical aims, and bring them to justice in new Nuremburg Tribunals.

And, finally, anyone serious about security will know that it comes through economic development, as the principle enshrined in the Treaty of Westphalia made clear—for peace, all sides must work for the “advantage of the other.” These principles are at the core of the New Silk Road policy outlined by Lyndon LaRouche and his wife, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, over 25 years ago. The leadership of Russia and China understand these principles, and Putin’s latest collaborative efforts in Turkey are a case in point.

Putin’s Turkish March

Putin’s recent moves in Turkey indicate the nature of the new security architecture that is now being discussed on the planet, and which should be a central feature to the new presidency immediately. Putin’s actions over the course of this last year since the United Nations General Assembly have shown a powerful mastery of the strategic situation, and the complex relations with Turkey are a prime example. The Turkish decision to shoot down a Russian fighter jet, combined with their blatant logistical and material support of terrorists in Syria in collaboration with Obama, did not make for good relations between Russia and Turkey.

In June of this year, the situation dramatically shifted. Erdogan apologized to Putin for the incident involving the downed fighter jet, and also announced their joint intention to hold a face-to-face meeting. On cue, terrorists killed 45 people and wounded 230 at the Istanbul Airport the next day. Lyndon LaRouche pointed to the Chechen role in the terrorist attack as a signal of the British hand in the operation. Then, weeks later, there was an attempted coup d’état to remove Erdogan as president. Putin was one of the first and only world leaders to call Erdogan to offer support for the stability of the nation of Turkey.

This was the context for the meeting between Putin and Erdogan that took place on August 9th. They discussed major economic deals and collaboration in the fight against terrorism in Syria, including setting up a joint task force involving top officials of the military, intelligence services and the foreign ministry. Erdogan identified the key role of Russia in establishing peace in Syria, calling for mutual action by Russia and Turkey, and then blasted the game of naming certain terrorists “good and bad,” a game that Obama and his British Imperial handlers have played ad nauseam for geopolitical aims.

However, the profound nature of Putin’s intervention was further elaborated the day before in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he met with the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan to discuss the “North-South Transport Corridor”—a 4500-mile corridor running from the Arabian Sea to Scandinavia. This project will now engage Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran, and will fold into China’s One Belt, One Road project—bringing greater stability to the entire Caspian Sea, Balkan, and Caucasus region.

LaRouche referred to the combined effect of the Putin/ Erdogan summit and the North-South Transport Corridor, saying that “the course of history has been changed… what I saw as a possibility has now been realized. A new alignment of Eurasia is now moving forward, and whatever efforts Obama and NATO might make to stop it are now too little, too late.”

It is Time to Know Thy Enemy

Building walls and “having the balls” to use nukes, is not a security policy for the new presidency. As the 28 Pages and the Chilcot Report show, we have no enemies except the British Empire and their operatives—who ran 9/11 as a pretext to launch a perpetual war policy, ultimately targeting Russia, China, India and the growing roster of nations who are moving beyond the “unipolar” world of empire, and collaborating on the One Belt, One Road, and the myriad of economic projects that are bringing nations together in a spirit of mutual benefit. These policies are the fruit of a 40-year dialogue led by the LaRouches in Eurasia. These are the policies central to the new presidency, and LaRouche’s direct role in shaping that fight is critical, starting with the adoption of his “Four Laws.” Security begins with accepting President Xi Jinping’s offer to collaborate on the New Silk Road concept, as well as accepting Putin’s offer for an international coalition against terrorism.

This is the second in a series of articles being presented by the LaRouche PAC National Policy Committee, in collaboration with Lyndon LaRouche, as part of his campaign to create a new Presidency over the coming 100 days.

Aug. 8—The New Presidency must be seen as fundamental in the fight to bring about a new paradigm and renaissance for mankind. It must start with the principle of Einstein. It must start with creating a new system that has, in essence, never been thought of before. This new system requires of human society that it foster the creative powers of the human mind. In his article titled, “Society and Personality,” published in his 1934 The World As I See It, Albert Einstein writes, “only the individual can think and thereby create new values for society, nay, even set up new moral standards to which the life of the community conforms. Without creative personalities able to think and judge independently, the upward development of society is as unthinkable as the development of the individual personality without the nourishing soil of the community.”

The new paradigm that must be brought about most immediately starts with a return to a concept of real economic value, which rejects the anti-human, anti-science, Malthusian zero growth culture. We must end the culture of degeneracy and economic collapse represented by the murderous drive for war of President Obama, and the continued degeneracy of the dead monetary system. We don’t need another stooge for Obama. We don’t need Wall Street clones. The two presidential contenders represent nothing but doom. We must implement Lyndon LaRouche’s call for a new conception of progress for mankind, based on the adoption of the four laws he has defined as necessary to save the United States.

Concerning the fourth law, “Adopt a Fusion-Driver ‘Crash Program,’ “ LaRouche writes, “The essential distinction of man from all lower forms of life, hence, in practice, is that it presents the means for the perfection of the specifically affirmative aims and needs of the human individual and social life. This has been an integral part of my campaign to revive the U.S. space program.”

“A Fusion economy, is the presently urgent next step, and standard, for man’s gains of power within the Solar system, and, later, beyond,” LaRouche adds.
The four laws that Mr. LaRouche has laid out represent the pathway out of the escalating global financial crisis and economic breakdown. We must return to the economic outlook underlying the language of the U.S. Constitution, as we find it also in the writings of Alexander Hamilton. And that is the basis for the direction the United States must take now, along with collaboration with leading nations around the world, to reflect once again the outlook of the United States under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Franklin Roosevelt, and as expressed by the founders of the Constitution of the United States—the outlook that inspired nations and peoples around the world. It embodies the idea of economic development and improvement, not just for the progress of one nation, but for all nations.

Crash Fusion Program for a New Paradigm

These Four Laws are critical to understanding the type of economic breakthrough that is necessary to do away with the casino economy, and to bring forth a new paradigm for mankind. These are not just legislative acts to be passed by Congress. We are talking about a transformation in the identity of the human species, whether on or off the planet.

A fusion-driver crash program must be the basis for the space program. The crash fusion program will be the central science-driver program for the efficient development of the physical economy and the productive and creative potential of mankind throughout the universe.

This central science-driver concept is another key principle of the win-win cooperation of an expanded poly-global world. We are not just talking about development of one planet and collaboration on this planet. We are talking about development and collaboration throughout our Solar system. The idea of poly-global development and cooperation was elaborated for the first time—from an earlier seed—by a great German space pioneer, Krafft Ehricke.

The development of space travel and colonization is the expression of a healthy human culture, a culture which rejects the zero-growth form of society that confines humans to one planet, in a state of confined existence, both physically and mentally. The revival of our space program as a national mission, in collaboration with leading nations around the world—most emphatically Russia and China—will prepare a new paradigm for the program of mankind, on and off the planet. It will lay the basis for the development of highly skilled, productive work, which will produce net returns not primarily in monetary and accounting terms, but through an increase in the productive powers of the human mind.

Collaboration among nations, such as we have seen with the space program, paves the way for the new paradigm needed to free mankind from its current state of bestiality. The space program should not be seen as merely one sector of the economy—that one can choose to fund or not. It must be seen as a leading, cutting edge of the future of mankind. LaRouche’s policy for developing a fusion economy includes the space program as a major, essential feature, and conversely, the space program requires fusion power for space colonization and transport. This paradigm starts with the creative potential of the human mind, which is first and foremost the most essential basis for a human economy. We’re talking about saving and developing a human economy, not a casino, banking economy.

What we’re discussing here is a space era, which has to emerge in the way that Lyndon LaRouche and collaborator German-American space pioneer Krafft Ehricke expressed, over many decades in much of their policies and writings. Mr. LaRouche continues to recognize today, just as Ehricke did prior to his untimely death in 1984, that the space program is an opening to a new Renaissance and to the age of reason.

I think that is where we are today: We must now give birth to an age of reason, to rid ourselves of the prevailing war drive that leads to extinction, to rid ourselves of the policy of bestializing humanity, and to embrace the true identity of mankind as a truly human species.

Einstein as Exemplar of Our Creative Mind

Ehricke was aware that a fusion science-driver program is necessary for the transformation of the human economy, and that that transformation provides the necessary basis for efficient space travel and colonization. He makes this very clear in his development of a Moon colonization and space travel policy. He writes: “The Universe is run by nuclear energy. Space will be conquered only by manned, nuclear-powered vehicles.” For our colony on the Moon, he says, “fusion energy is as indispensable and fundamental as the Sun’s energy is for the terrestrial biosphere.”

The space program represents the next step in the natural evolution of the human species. Ehricke once said, “You come to understand that Earth and world are no longer synonymous. We no longer live in a closed world of one planet inside a womb of a biosphere. Our world is no more closed than it is flat.”

Our world is an open space, he says, and its resources are potentially limitless. It is the human mind that unlocks those unlimited resources.

LaRouche identified the exemplar of that universal quality of the human mind in the personality and genius of Einstein. The creative human mind, fostered by a productive human society, makes the breakthroughs to ensure that we have the resources and the potential for increasing the productive powers of mankind on and off the planet.

Ehricke spoke of the expansion of humankind into space as “world development,” as a “positive, peaceful, growth-oriented, macro-sociological project whose goal is to ultimately release humanity from its present parasitic, embryonic bondage in the biospheric womb of one planet. That will demand immense human creativity, courage, and maturity.”

The program that LaRouche has laid out is the required measure for lifting mankind into this truly poly-global world. It is the necessary program for defining a new international economic platform that establishes peaceful cooperation among nations—of the type represented by China’s development of spacecraft to land on the far side of the Moon. LaRouche’s program represents a total shift toward unleashing our unlimited potential for the progress of mankind.

Let’s put an end to the ceaseless drive for war that will end in a thermonuclear exchange and the extermination of the human species.

Part III of a series of discussions of G. W. Leibniz’s astonishing life and essential work. Today, we take up Leibniz’s views on the purpose of society in improving the happiness and goodness of its people, his proposals for scientific and economic academies to put discoveries into practice to improve people’s lives, and his work on physics. In particular, we focus on his discovery of vis viva—the start of the study of dynamics—and make fun of Descartes along the way! Understanding the physics of motion was essential for economy to benefit from the increasing use of machines and of heat-power.

There were many references made during the presentation! For further reading, check out:
