Listen to the podcast ROCKWELL:  Recently, famed journalist, Ben Swann, asked me, “What is Anarcho-Capitalism?”  I thought you might like to hear our discussion. SWANN:  This is going to be an interesting show because in our first hour, we’re going to be talking with Lew Rockwell of LewRockwell.com.  He is one of the — I would say one of the foremost authorities right now in the country in terms of especially something called Anarcho-Capitalism.  We’re going to talk to him a little bit about that, what exactly Anarcho-Capitalism consists of.  But also, one of these guys who has been pushing … Continue reading

Joe Biden invoked Jesus on Friday responding to Ben Carson’s bizarre argument that prison inmates “turning gay” after going into prison straight proves homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, rather than a genetic or otherwise innate trait. As a libertarian, this debate holds little interest for me. Even if homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, it is one that does not harm other people and thus falls into that vast category of human behavior called “liberty,” which should be beyond the reach of any government. What does concern me is Carson’s argument on why homosexuals “don’t have a right to be served … Continue reading

Everytime you say “No” an angel gets its wings. I was talking to an angel recently who told me this. He begged me to say “no” more often. More angels need wings, he said. Not only does an angel get wings but you double your own lifespan. If I say “No” to a dinner meeting, I get about three extra hours added to my life. If I say “No” to binge-watching “House of Cards” then I get 12 hours added to my life. Unfortunately I said “Yes” to binge-watching “House of Cards”. Addition. Subtraction. “No” is the math of life. … Continue reading

Most Prepper types that I know appear to have a common trait: they are good at evaluating risks then moving to mitigate those risks in a nimble manner.  What that means, in somewhat plainer English, is they have the ability to evaluate a situations, make a plan, learn from it, and ultimately act in a responsible manner. Along those lines, more recently I have done some personal analysis and put more focus on what I call “hard times ahead”.  With my disaster preps more or less in order, I want to ensure that my own household will get through a period of … Continue reading

There aren’t many made-for-tv movies worth watching, let alone 32 years later, but “The Day After” is the exception–as a movie and as a warning. Neocon Herman Kahn used to stand out in the 1960s for advocating first use of nuclear weapons. He’d have plenty of company in these days of crazed Russaphobia. ‘The Day After‘ is a graphic, disturbing film that first aired on November 20, 1983.   It is the frightening story of the weeks leading up to and following a devastating nuclear holocaust on small-town residents near Lawrence, Kansas. Director: Nicholas Meyer Writer: Edward Hume Starring: Jason Robards, … Continue reading
