Human Rights Watch condemns use of unconventional arms by Ukraine

‘Human Rights Watch (HRW) has slammed the use of unconventional arms by government forces in the southeast of Ukraine, calling on Kiev to halt such measures.

HRW chief, Kenneth Roth, accused Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of lying while in Germany earlier in January, when he denied reports of Kiev’s use of cluster bombs and Grad multiple rocket launchers against the country’s southeastern towns and villages, RIA Novosti reported Saturday.

“There is no evidence to that. No evidence,” Yatsenyuk claimed in response to questions on the issue by Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine, insisting that more attention should be paid to the Republic of Crimea, which reunited with Russia in March 2014.’
