Spanish Princess Cristina to stand trial for tax fraud
‘Spanish Princess Cristina de Borbon, the sister of King Felipe VI, is set to stand trial for tax fraud after her appeal was dismissed by a court.
The trial of Cristina, 49, is expected to begin in the second half of the current year after Judge Jose Castro in the Spanish city of Palma de Mallorca threw out her appeal on Friday.
The princess is facing prosecution as part of a four-year investigation on her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, who is accused of money laundering and fraud.’
