Kiev Regime Readying For More War
The Kiev regime’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko, who was the regime’s ambassador to Canada until a few months ago, was interviewed on CBC Radio “The House” in-depth news program, on Saturday, Feb. 21, where he declared that Ukraine is getting ready for full-scale war and that Russia is on the verge of attacking Mariupol.
“We see that they are not stopping,” he said, suggesting the fight was now heading south to the port of Mariupol. “It doesn’t take a genius to see what they are trying to do. They are taking more and more strategic points.”
Prystaiko then got to what his government wants. “What we expect from the world is that the world will stiffen up in the spine a little,” he says. “Everybody is afraid of fighting with a nuclear state. We are not anymore, in Ukraine, we’ve lost so many people of ours, we’ve lost so much of our territory…However dangerous it sounds, we have to stop [putin] somehow.”

Prystaiko’s ravings in Ottawa were followed, yesterday, by the announcement from Kiev that the regime had decided not to withdraw its heavy weapons from southeast Ukraine as called for in the Feb. 12 Minsk agreement. Naturally, it blames Russia for this decision, claiming that the Donbass militias in the region that Russia backs are still shelling Ukrainian army forces.
“Given that the positions of Ukrainian servicemen continue to be shelled, there can not yet be any talk of pulling back weapons,”
spokesman Vladislav Seleznyov said in a televised briefing, reports Reuters.
Seleznyov’s announcement puts into doubt plans for the pullback that all parties to the conflict have signed on to. Self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic military spokesman Eduard Basurin said, February 22nd, that the pullback of heavy weapons would begin on Feb. 24.
“The pullout was expected to start three days ago but … now all the sides have agreed and decided that Feb. 22 will mark a two-week countdown for the weaponry withdrawal,”
he said.
