Protesters pelted the US embassy in Kiev with manure
‘Around two and a half thousand Ukrainians surrounded the US embassy in Kiev on the first of April. They were protesting the appointment of foreigners to the Ukrainian government, as well as the intervention of the Americans and Europeans in the public administration of the country. The protesters held up banners saying “We are not cattle!” and made sounds imitating animals.
Besides the protesters braying and bleating, they also displayed two-meter carrots with the symbols of the European Union. At the end of the demonstration of dissent Kiev residents pelted the US embassy with manure.
It is worth noting that video from the protest has been removed from all the Ukrainian sites and users who posted it were blocked. Local journalists barely covered the event.’
