Parents face £100 fines for children playing football in the street
‘After complaints from older residents, a council has written to parents in Sneinton, Notts.
The letters say street football may seem “harmless entertainment to children” but represents “anti-social behaviour” to others.
Resident Christine Archer, 52, said: “The boys can be boisterous and noisy with balls bouncing off walls and cars.
“A lot of the older residents find it intimidating. But then the older folk forget that they use to play in the street when they were young.”‘
