Welcome to Dublin’s North Korean Quarter?
Photography Censorship In Dublin
Whilst walking in Dublin by Tara Street station my ace photographer decided to take a photo of the cityscape and random portraits therein, including a large building complex used by Ulster Bank ( a subsidiary of RBS). A security guard on duty approached him and said ‘you are not allowed to take photos here’. There is no signage indicating that this is private property or that photography is forbidden. In the ensuing conversation the security guard politely told him to take up the matter with Green Property Management whose address is available online. This company is headed up by Stephen Vernon and James McKenna. Ulster Bank have been closing many branches, thus laying huge amounts of their workforce off.
The offending shot.
