Children banned from doing handstands and cartwheels at Plymouth primary school
‘Pupils have been banned from performing handstands and cartwheels during break times at a primary school because they are “beyond their capability”.
Children at Old Priory Primary Academy, in Plympton, have been banned from performing “gymnastic movements” in the school playground at break times.
The school’s interim headteacher, Emma Hermon-Wright, said the ban was introduced after a number of children were injured while attempting to perform the movements.’
