William Hague’s rape summit cost taxpayers £5.2 MILLION but ‘has achieved nothing’

‘The total cost of the lavish four-day summit – £5.2million – was five times greater than the Foreign Office’s budget to directly tackle sexual violence in war zones this year.

A staggering £576,000 was spent on hotels and transport for delegates at the summit, while the food bill came to £299,000.

Marcy Hersh, of the Women’s Refugee Commission, criticised the results of Hague and Jolie’s project, which will be scrutinised by a House of Lords committee from Wednesday.’
