‘When tyre giant Goodyear revealed that it was closing its factory in the Midlands, workers were assured that they could apply for another job with the company.
But now it has emerged that the only positions available are in a crime-ridden part of Mexico – 5,000 miles away from the UK.
Employees of the firm are furious at the ‘joke’ offer, saying that it is unreasonable to expect them to move to the Latin American country.’
