Congress Threatens EPA Chief With Prison for Perjury
‘Congress has called EPA Chief Gina McCarthy on her many lies while testifying to congress. They reminded her that perjury is punishable by prison and they offer her a chance to correct the record before they level charges against her.
“Providing false or misleading testimony to Congress is a serious matter.”
“Witnesses who purposefully give false or misleading testimony during a congressional hearing may be subject to criminal liability. With that in mind, we write to request that you correct the record and implore you to be truthful with the American public about matters related to EPA’s regulatory agenda going forward.”’
