‘A company that claims to stop people receiving nuisance calls has been fined £50,000 after the regulator found it was making hundreds of nuisance calls itself.

Point One Marketing Ltd, which trades as ‘Stop the Calls’ reportedly bullied potential customers over the phone, with salespeople shouting at them when they asked not to be called again.

One complainant said their mother had been talked into providing her credit card details, despite it being obvious she suffered from dementia.

Stop the Calls offered customers a call blocking device for their phones, as well as removal from cold-call databases.’
