Entertainment for the Labor Day Weekend
Sometimes the best things in life are free, or at least thought provoking public information is sometimes free.
First, it was great to see Max and Stacy in Chicago a couple of weeks ago. Stacy is smart, funny, and more beautiful in person than on the screen. Max is always fun.
- Meanwhile, as you know, Fox News hosted a USA GOP Debate on August 6, 2015. I polled my mostly male cohort working in the financial industry, and asked their opinion of who won. Read the poll results, “Donald Trump Wins and So Do We,” with my additional commentary via this link. I don’t believe I will publish future debate results for the GOP or the Democrats, because it was a lot more work than I thought it would be.
- Read an excerpt of my memoir: Decisions: Life and Death on Wall Street.
- Read an excerpt of my murder mystery, Archangels: Rise of the Jesuits.
- Then download a free Kindle edition of the non-fiction Rise of the Jesuits Companion through September 8; this works anywhere in the world, if you have an Amazon account. Tell your friends!
- Read a short adaptation of a chapter of Unveiled Threat, a Personal Experience of Fundamentalist Islam and the Roots of Terrorism.
- Read Hillary Clinton’s email. The public documents are here. Note in particular the email traffic on September 12 and September 14, after the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack.
Would you rather focus on finance instead? Would you rather write something instead of read? My day job has been exciting the past few years, and that will be reflected in the third edition of Structured Finance & Collateralized Debt Obligations. Are you a finance pro who read the second edition? If you have comments, I’d love to know more, since I can address them in the third edition. You can write me here. But I believe every finance pro benefits by publishing their own perspective; I’d love to read yours. You can submit your manuscript directly to John Wiley & Sons.
