Trial of Lord Janner into child sex abuse claims to take place next year
‘Former Labour MP Janner, 87, is almost certain to be absent from the proceedings as he is suffering from advanced dementia.
The case is set to go ahead in February after a fitness to plead hearing was held in December.
He is accused of 15 counts of indecent assault and seven counts of a separate sexual offence against a total of nine alleged victims in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.’
