‘For being the least populated state in the U.S., Wyoming sure doesn’t seem all that interested in protecting the health and vitality of what few residents it does have. A state legislative committee has proposed a new resolution that would officially endorse genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as safe and also urge Congress to pass legislation barring individual states from passing their own mandatory GMO labeling laws.

According to the Associated Press (AP), Wyoming’s Joint Agriculture, State and Public Lands, and Water Resources Interim Committee took a closer look at the proposed resolution on September 13. The committee’s co-chairman, Senator Gerald Geis, a Republican from Worland, told the media that he expects the bill to pass easily and get passed on to the full legislature next year.’
