An investigation has uncovered that doctors are refusing to see patients in care homes unless they are paid an additional £100,000 a year.
Some have even threatened to strike the patients off their lists or force them to come to surgeries to be seen. In some areas the GPs have formed cartels to make sure that patients cannot be seen in care homes without the payment of the additional fees.
