Birmingham City Council ‘unlawfully evicted 50 families after bailiff blunders’

‘Birmingham City Council may have unlawfully evicted more than 50 families by using bailiffs who turned up without notice after applying for writs 120 MILES AWAY in Huddersfield.

Legal experts have warned that the authority could now be forced to reinstate the tenancies of some families who could also be entitled to taxpayer-funded compensation.’
