Federal Reserve Hires ANOTHER Goldman Sachs Executive

The Federal Reserve announced the hiring of yet another former Goldman Sachs executive.  Neel Kashkari will be the president of the Minneapolis Fed. With this latest appointment, four of the Fed’s 12 regional banks will be headed by former Goldman Sachs executives. Some more about Mr. Kashkari’s background from The Huffington Post:

Kashkari began his career in finance at Goldman Sachs, then joined the U.S. Treasury, where he eventually ran the massive bank bailout program enacted in the depths of the 2008 financial crisis. After leaving Treasury, he joined the investment manager PIMCO and unsuccessfully ran for governor of California in 2014 as a Republican.
