‘Tory ministers were under mounting pressure after bombshell new revelations about failed charity Kids Company.

A “horrifying” new report sparked fresh questions for top Conservatives Oliver Letwin and Matt Hancock, who overruled their civil servants to pump another £3million of taxpayers’ cash into KidsCo days before it collapsed in August.

The confidential document, seen by Newsnight and Buzzfeed, details allegations probed by auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in late July.

It reveals how the charity reportedly spent more than £50,000 meeting the cost of a PhD for an individual described as the relative of an Iranian diplomat.’
