Teacher arrested after assaulting child and stealing food from hungry six-year-olds

‘Imagine if your six-year-old child came back from school after only a few days and seemed upset. Upon inquiring, you discover his teacher took half of his lunch away and slapped him around some. Then you find other parents with similar reports with the same teacher at the same school. Pretty pathetic, right?

Even the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office in St. Francisville, Louisiana sheriff’s thought so. They had issued an arrest warrant against Baines Lower Elementary School teacher, 31 year-old-Chanel Lemelle, for one count of cruelty to a minor. Chenel soon surrendered and posted $20,000 bail, then retired from teaching, at least for now.’
