Mass evacuations and Birmingham and Paris schools caused by simultaneous bomb threats

A series of bomb threats made to schools in Birmingham and Paris are being  cited as hoaxes by police and intelligence officials.

Nevertheless a number of schools across the Birmingham area have been evacuated and chidlren sent home.
