Norfolk NHS chiefs get £155,000 in pay rises but say they can’t find £120,000 to save mental health support line

‘Health bosses across Norfolk have received pay rises totalling more than the cost of saving a mental health helpline described as “life-saving”.

Senior managers at Norfolk’s four clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) pocketed more than £100,000 in pay rises between 2013/14 and 2014/15, the latest figures available, which a former health minister has described as “unjustified”.

According to official documents, the amount spent by the CCGs on wages rose by £350,000 from 2013/14 to 2014/15, of which £155,000 was spent on pay rises for staff across the organisations.’
