‘Internet of things’ could save UK £8 billion a year in energy costs
The National Infrastructure Commission, headed by Osborne appointee Lord Adonis says that we have to embrace the new technology of Smart energy and the internet of things in able to make consumer savings of around £8 billion a year.
The internet of things including smart fridges, Smart meters, TV’s, freezers and washing machines all connected to the internet will allow consumers to make massive savings in their energy useage.
What he doesn’t say is that there are massive implications on privacy, human health and government control of our lives.
