Morocco says foiled biological attacks by terrorists

‘Morocco says the suspected members of a terrorist cell detained last month had been planning to carry out biological attacks in the country.

On Thursday, the Moroccan Interior Ministry said in a statement that the country had dismantled the group which is suspected of having links to Daesh terrorists in mid-February.

“Some of the seized substances (from the suspects) are classified by international organizations which specialize in health issues as falling within the category of biological weapons dangerous for their capacity to paralyze and destroy the nervous system and cause death,” the ministry said.

The ministry had announced on February 18 that members of the group of 10, which included a French national, had been arrested in different towns.’
