Having lost traction with the public by using the “deterrent” argument for keeping Trident, he is now claiming the loss of Trident would harm Scottish jobs – even though Scottish Labour has already said workers should transfer to new defence initiatives.

This is just another aspect of Project Fear. Scottish workers are being told their jobs are at risk, but the claim is not true – or will only come true if this very defence secretary decides to launch his own vindictive attack on them.’
