The Schiller Institute Performs Handel’s Messiah in Brooklyn
On Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, the Schiller Institute Chorus, partnering with the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture, performed Handel’s Messiah, Parts II & III, the story of the Resurrection. The concert was held in the historic Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R. C. Church in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Performed at Verdi’ scientific pitch C=256 Hz, the concert was one in a series presented by the Schiller Institute demonstrating not only the power of the lower tuning, but the power of classical music and culture generally.
