‘Basic income’ poll: 64% of Europeans would vote in favor, 4% would stop working

<p>The poll, co cte by Germa compa y Dalia Research i April, was the first EU-wi e s rvey to a ress the proposal of a basic i come, efi e i the poll as “a i come co itio ally pai by the gover me t to every i ivi al regar less of whether they work a irrespective of a y other so rces of i come.”</p>
<p>The prelimi ary res lts fo that abo t 58 perce t of respo e ts were aware of the i ea of a basic i come, a 64 perce t wo l vote i favor of the policy i a refere m.’</p>
