Germany Excludes Entry of Ukraine Into EU in the Near Future

‘The German Foreign Ministry stated that Ukraine should not expect a quick accession to the EU. Earlier in April, Dutch voters opposed the EU’s association agreement with Ukraine at a referendum.
Representative of the German Foreign Ministry stated the process of Ukraine’s accession to the EU is unlikely to start in the near future.
“We don’t consider the issue of EU accession at the moment,” the Ministry’s spokesman said, cited by German newspaper Die Zeit. “Ukraine is not ready yet.”‘
