SYRIA: Erdogan’s ‘U-Turn’ – Fact or Fiction?

‘According to Jeremy Salt, eminent academic and geopolitical analyst living in Turkey and commentating on the Erdogan post coup dictatorship, the US is playing a very dirty game of gangs and counter gangs. Smoke screens and convoluted coup conspiracy theories abound as Erdogan achieves semi lionization among his core constituency, as well as from some commentators for his seemingly popular counter-coup mobilization in Turkey.
In a recent meeting with the US Peace Council in Damascus, Syrian President, Bashar Al- Assad described Erdogan’s post coup cleansing of military, intelligentsia and assorted ethnic minorities, dissidents and oppositioin as “Erdogan’s government of hysteria“.’
